Hello fellow Kenyans, The time we all had been waiting for has already arrived. The ICC has confirmed charges against the KANU Leader Mr Uhuru Kenyatta. I was surprised at the decision the ICC took against Mr Uhuru Kenyatta. Right from the off, the decision to take Mr Kenyatta to the Hague was political, there has been insinuation since Mr Kibaki decided to run for the second term that another son of Mumbi should not move into the state house before they do. This is a fact and not democratic.
The ICC has stated the reason why they believe Mr Kenyatta has to stand trial for crimes against Humanity. It tells a story of how the massacre that happened in Naivasha and Nakuru was planned before and after the Elections at the State House. The brief goes on to mention time of meetings, witnesses that have come forward, what was said and money that exchanged hands.
Now everyone knows what ICC knows, however, we do not know Mr Kenyatta story in its entirety. Just as the ICC has published their brief we would like to hear your brief too. What happen between the say period of November 2007 and January 2008?
Are there witnesses to defend your brief, tell us, because there is many of us who believe you are innocent. You have been placed on the pedestal of prosecution, tell us, we Kenyans who believe you are innocent of this horrible charges.
Many people would not have been killed had the political campaigns in 2007 been done without tribal leanings of certain fiefdoms against the house of Mumbi.
I remember that BBC interview of a Kibera resident, who said on record, “We targeted them because they belong to the same tribe as the President”.
What did the President do in his first year in government? He placed in motions economic strategies that were starting to pull Kenya, within a few months in government, from the endemic fraud that was taking place in major parastatals in the country. The government was starting to find ways to be self-sustaining without going bowl in hand every time to the IMF for rescue funds. There was hope of recovery.
The changes that were taking place would not have erased overnight economic troubles of the population loaded onto the Kenyan people by over 20 years of Moi’s government.
Give credit where is due. No government is perfect.
Crime has been done. If you were able to trawl the Internet in the height of the trouble you would have felt the anger and deep hate certain individuals had for the people of central Kenya. Every town that was not in central Kenya, the children of Mumbi were attacked. Many lost their lives or maimed or lost their hard earned possessions.
Now tell me Mr Uhuru Kenyatta, are you going down for the crimes other people perpetrated?
Tell the People.
